CLIL methodology often concentrates on the aspects of comprehension and processing of concepts, rather than creative production. These sessions will focus on Essay and Debate as productive activities which offer stimulating outcomes to the Content and Language Integrated cycle. It will suggest practical approaches to planning a module, methodologies for developing the higher-level language skills required for effective writing and discussion and techniques for managing live debate sessions in class.
The three two-hour sessions are open to upper secondary school teachers of all subjects, both those currently practising CLIL and those preparing to teach with the approach in the future.
